Ennio Capasa began his career in an enviable place: as an assistant to influential Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. Working alongside the master of the avant-garde gave Capasa the courage to open his own label in 1986. Capasa’s new company, CoSTUME NATIONAL, blended the young designer’s love of seventies rock and roll with classic Italian tailoring. This preview collection exhibits just that, while calling upon everything we love about fall fashion. Leather shorts in bold neutrals, velvet pants suits in vivid jewel tones, incredibly flattering wool trousers, geometric tulip skirts and more. Just because fall is on its way doesn’t mean you need to pile on the bulk – just add a little extra sartorial elegance.
